When a Bifolding door begins to drag along at the bottom when attempting to open. There can be many different things that can cause this.

• The outer frame of the Bifolding door losing its shape and therefore causing the door to become misaligned.
• The hinges on the Bi-fold door loosening of breaking.
• The rollers being damaged, whether they are at the bottom of the doors or top hung.

 Bi-fold door top hung rollers

When repairing or replacing top hung rollers, they have to be removed out of the tracks usually by making a cut.  In some cases the by folding doors are manufactured in a way that there is access to the top rollers but this is also dependent on the way the doors and the top track have been installed into the frame.
